Twin Cities Rotary Club members attend annual 2016 Rotary District 5020 District Leadership Training Assembly this weekend.
Ten Twin Cities Rotary members are attending the annual Rotary District 5020 District Leadership Training Assembly (DLTA) in Victoria, BC this weekend.
Members traveled to Port Angeles on Friday afternoon enjoying warm sunny weather and enjoyed dinner together overlooking the snow-capped Olympic mountains, spending the night at the Red Lion Hotel. Following dinner members fellowshipped over snacks and drinks sharing real war stories of relatives and progressing onto current politics.
The following morning (Saturday) members caught the Coho Ferry traveling to Victoria, BC. Once they arrived in Victoria they walked to the Marriott Hotel to check in and then over to the Empress Hotel for lunch and the beginning session of the 2016 DLTA.
Many informative sessions were offered during DLTA for leadership training including such topics as grant writing, Foundation 101, Club Runner and Communication, Membership Management, How to Have Fun Meetings, Fundraising, Social Media, So You Want to be President/Secretary/Treasurer, etc. to name a few.
Members will be dining together tonight at a local restaurant and enjoying some of the offerings of Victoria.
Training sessions will conclude on Sunday after which members will return to Port Angeles via the Coho and then driving back to Lewis County.
Thank you to those club members who took the time out of their busy schedules to dedicate this weekend to learn more about Rotary, in the hopes of making our club even better.
